Instructions for Typing the Platform Issue Statement

 

 

Your Platform Issue Statement is a community service project or social issue

that you have been active in or feel strongly about. This issue should be one that

you would like to advocate for during your year of service, as Miss Washington’s

Outstanding Teen.

 

Please remember. This ONE (1) page, document combined with the Contestant’s

Resume, will comprise your entire application for this job. The judges will receive

exactly what is submitted. Any items submitted that do not fit the established

criteria will be returned for correction only once. If your platform statement does

not meet the criteria or is submitted after the deadline it will not be given to the

judges.
